Decided to paint the inside of my washer

Had a can of paint in the storage above my washer and you guessed it-the can fell in. This was the day after Estefan's surgery and I was tired. It made the washer leak black water. Lucky for me that Estefan's brand new carpet was there to soak it up.

Got bit by a DOG!

I'm in the library..

and this mother is tormenting her daughter! Forget that I slipped away from my kids for half an hour to check on my life (I do my banking, networking, work and a million other things on here!) and this girl is looking for a book and mom is playing 20 (degrading) questions! Poor girl you know she is a pre-teen and mom is so SNARKY! So... anyways what I came on here for is to tell you that I have been on home arrest for 5 days now! Help me cause Estefan feel's like POO POO! Surgery has up's and down's. Estefan is NOT good with pain and you can see his good personalitly every 2 hours AFTER he has been drugged. For some magical reason the meds don't work at NIGHT! I will NOT be having a baby or WANTING a baby ANYTIME soon. Thank you very much! By the way...no EVER told me that his breath would be the worst part! Oh sure it's in fine print some where in the 10 page packet they give to you but honestly I think I deserve a bio-hazard mask included at least (: He was AWESOME the first day due to drugs-he said this:

Estefan: mom my stomach is bieng weird
Me: oh ya?
E: ya some air/bubbles keep moving in there (pointing to his tummy)
M: oh ya love that's probably gas.
E: Ya well I've been wasting a lot of gas lately!


I couldn't stop laughing-I will be back will ALL the deets since ANNIE has encouraged me to continue to wrtie. Ah this feels good (:

i'm straying.....

I couldn't help but post some personal stuff. But I 'm stretching that a bit, cause these aren't my own. Stories from a nurse:

Has been a nurse for 6 years.

I've "called" a man before. Had his family in to say goodby, everyone left, and later (while he was still hooked up) his heart start beating.


Yes while moving a "stiff" dead body onto another gurny-we dropped him! We treid like crazy and struggled so hard to get his body off the floor and onto the new bed.


Had a very handsome man who had cancer, ask me to hold his hand while I injected medicine to sedate him for surgery. Tears rolled down his cheeks and mine. He never made it through sugery. He was my age.


Being on the recessatation team: The most beautiful women came in, she was in heart failure. We tore her shirt off to find perfectly round fake breast. Her make up was perfection and well as her thin body. We were lossing her fast and needed a very large vien. When we cut off her pants-she was a he! She died due to complication from having butt implants that got infected.


The swine flu is serious! We used to have tons of cases in the hospital. A whole floor dedicated to them, but we don't have a 1 anymore. There ALL dead now.

(let me share with you why I chose these 3 pictures-first and foremost-something is wrong with every single one and won't be used by them. The first one is slightly out of focus and the sun washed them out-but I wanted to show you what the two look like. Picture #2 has that nasty shadow across Roberts pretty little face. Oh how I adore that look on his face-yes he is my nephew (only by marrige!) but this look is killer ;) and the last-well it reminds me of teenagers and what happens in old cars! or new ones for that matter but you do have a little bit of "floaters" in the upper left hand.

This week was crazy busy! I had two sets of pictures to take. I don't charge for them (hello-I don't use photo-editing and i'm no pro) so on Thursday I did Megan's maternity, went to see my mom and sis in Mesquite Fri. night, went yardsaling (is that how you spell it?) on Sat.and then went up to Carp to take some engagements. My nephew Robert and Kirstie will be married this June:)

7 months preggers

May I add that there was not a stretch mark in sight! *sigh*

I teach First Communion class at church and today a little girl told me a story that chocked me up a little. Her name is Brisa and she told me how her sister had fallen down the stairs and her dad ran to her and found her tongue blocking her airway. He swept her tongue out and the girl bit down so hard-it exposed the bone. The story wasn't about the father (who suffered the most damage) but about Brisa's fear. "I was afraid that my sister was going to leave me and my family" That did it for me,that one sentance out of an 8 yr old. She couldn't say die-so she said leave. Brisa couldn't even look up at me she was still so shaken. The sister is 14 and I suspect had a siezure, because she has no recolection of the entire event. Not even biting her father.

I wil share pictures of my loot from the yardsales later. When the are cleaned and where they belong.

My livingroom is now varying shades of soft gray. All white accented. I plan to have shades or gray,white,black,and ivory for everything in there. There will be a bright accent color that I'm still undecided. It might be green or it might be blue?

This is the hall that I love O so much. I whined about the switch being visable and on the left side (i prefer the right) but now that it's there, I see no problem.

The only door on the left leads to Estella's room. It is painted a sage green with white and pink accents. The nature motif is whimsicaly perfect for her! Her dresser and bed are cherrywood. The lamp and decals were purchased at Target.

If you notice on the left picture-there used to be an arch in the center. It was then moved to the right side of the wall to create a small hall.

Let me say that when we bought this small yellow house 4 years ago, I coudn't imagine how it would make me feel. First of all owning your own house at 22 and bearly 20 was a great feeling. It still is. We were known as the people who lived in the cute little ellow house. I do like the outside color of the home. Especially with the while shutters(although they're faux) and trim. I soon learned my mistake. In this tiny abode are 2 living rooms, one bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and 2 bedrroms. That's it. Yes though the house sits on almost an acre, we esentailly can speak to eachother from the front door to any person, in any room. I have grown to actually dispise this place I am suppose to call home. I say this now because we are making changes. What is to become of this home is something I will love. In my last post I showed you something under cunstruction. Having 2 living rooms has left us with a very odd layout. I may add that this home was moved from St. Thomas, this also I am proud of. As is one of two homes on Whipple Ave.
In Febuary Tommy ripped out the first wall to turn the second living room ito a small (very small!) little bedroom for a little Stell. I had much to do with this project. I priced and purchased all the lumber. It is worth a trip into Mesquite's Do it Best Lumber to save 3 buck on sheetroc and almost 2 on 2x4's. This tiny bedroom made a hallway. In all the bedromm is 6ft x 11ft. It cost us just about $100 to build, texture and paint it. That's it. It took less 3 weeks for Estella to be sleeping in it. Mind you we only worked weekends. We were fortunate enough to have family who paints for a living, come in and do a professional texture and paint job. He also has a large collection of left over paint that I was able to choose a color from. This in effect help cut down on cost. But even then to paint the entire room took less than a gollon of pain. Saving what......? Maybe 20 bucks? We are still looking for a light to go in her room. Right now she gets enough light from her window and a small dresser lamp.
My favorite part of all of this is the HALL. I just adore it. Why you ask? I don't know. It must be the color(gray with white doors and trim) and the lights that I have chosen for it. It seems so peaceful that I often think that if there is a path way to heaven, that I would surley walk it-if it looked like this. It also leads to my favorite place in the house- my bed. I just love my bed too:)

As you can see-it looked like it snowed in my home. We sanded by hand for days!

Small explanation

In an effort to make sure that everyone reading my blog has absolutly nothing to say (behind my back) other than they hate the color scheme I'm going with- I will now be blogging about...........(drumroll please!) my attemts at becoming DOMESTICATED! That word in itself makes me feel like an animal that has now recieved her rabbies shot and is expectaed to quite foaming at the mouth. I've wipped the foam off and will post my lastest trails that include but are not limited too: DIY self projects, cooking, painting, re-arranging and dumb stuff like that. Welcome back viewers!
